Question: Why wecity?

Because it is a growing company, in a new sector, which allows me to learn every day and take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Q.: What is your role in the company?

I manage the day-to-day operations of the legal department, as well as the entire life of the projects at a legal level: from agreeing the basic conditions with the developer, through the financing of the opportunity or the finalisation of the operation, to the return of the money to the investors.

Q.: What are the advantages of real estate crowdfunding for developers?

A.: Developers obtain financing in a faster and more agile way, and with a lower administrative burden than with traditional banks. We study the operations with the same rigour, but as we have a smaller structure, the bureaucracy is reduced.

Q.: And for investors?

It’s a very good way to get a return on your savings. People, but especially my generation, are increasingly aware that the only way to keep your savings from losing value is to invest them. wecity makes this option available to everyone. Moreover, for the more cautious, it is an investment that, in a way, ‘you can touch’, as it is in the real estate sector.

Q.: What was your relationship with real estate before joining wecity?

I have worked in several law firms and the real estate world was always present, although in a less intensive way than in wecity, of course.

Q.: What would your perfect real estate investment project be like?

Any project that is published in wecity; being inside you realise the level of detail and professionalism that we have in the team.

Q.: And what kind of projects do you think have the most future at the moment?

The construction of housing in large cities such as Madrid.

Q.: What are the main challenges in the legal area in a sector such as real estate investment?

I think the main challenge is the convergence of basic/traditional legal figures in Spanish law with the European regulation of PSFPs, which is quite new.

Q.: A professional reference?

My father and my former boss, both lawyers.

Q.: Complete the sentence: The 20s of the 21st century will be the decade of… Mass access to different forms of investment.
